Day 002

Today, a photo from my front yard! This was an experiment in HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography. I’m trying to get better at it! There’s a certain knack to it.

While shooting, you take three or more photos of the exact same thing with a tripod, all at different exposures – well-exposed, underexposed and overexposed. Then, with software on the computer, you combine the three to make the “perfect” photo, where you are able to see all the highlights, midtones and shadows in one picture. It’s supposed to be more like what the eye/brain/memory sees. πŸ™‚

Anyway, here’s an attempt at that! πŸ™‚

  1. “It’s supposed to be more like what the eye/brain/memory sees”–one more reason to marvel at the Creator. I love your picture and I love nature.
